My husband and I went there earlier this afternoon, we got a root beer float and a sunrise for roughly $16 (I don't remember exactly because it was cash, but there was enough for the tip and a couple bucks left over from a $20). We went back later on today with a different bartender, and the guy tried to charge us $20 with the same root beer float and a mango frozen drink!! Then when we told him that is not what we paid earlier, he tried to tell us it's because our drinks were premium! (which was a $10 option on the menu under the Margarita menu only). He then made a show of taking out our $6 change out of his tip jar, and told us we were the only people in 10 years who ever questioned the price. The bartender then told the other people with us that he was suddenly "out" of the sarsaparilla whiskey when they wanted to order some drinks right after us. We've had people in our party going here all week for frozen drinks, and they've always been around $7. We will never go back. I am one who usually never complains, but this was absolutely ridiculous.

It was really packed for karaoke when we went, so we didn't stay too long. The drinks were moderately priced, and there was a nice patio that we sat on to escape the loudness of people who don't know how to sing.

Was in town visiting a friend in Surfside checked Scotty's cause it was pretty much the only bar on the beach. Such a generic interior but the view and the beach made up for it. I'm from San Diego never in a million years would I have ever thought I would see a cross dresser in conservative Surfside. This guy was hilarious I thought it was a joke when he walked in the bar very weird in Surfside LA NY sure but here awkward. This guy did not try that hard looked like he just put in lipstick some eyeliner a bad wig dress and heels and that was that.lol!

Loved the place only bad thing was they allow small children in the bar and on the patio i mean they have NO food so why allow kids.

Dive-y local beach bar ('affiliated' with the Days Inn), right on Surfside Beach, pier adjacent. No frills interior and exterior. Cheap beers, price-y frozen drinks. Friendly staff, clientele. Wish the place had a wraparound deck, or even a larger deck at that, so that you could partake in the view on the outside (instead of the much divier [is that a word?] inside). The DJs are hit or miss, and the DJ on one of the particular nights was BLARING, (at 5 pm, mind you), some pretty horrible Country. (I know, I'm in the South, it's the soundtrack, but turn it down a notch).

Loved the fact that they had vegan options here. The vegan burger was wonderful. Access to and nice view of the beach from the deck. It it was all good unless you've ever seen the movie "The Birds" lol! Its sort of divey and no frills but the waitress was really friendly. The food was a step up from typical Bar Food, we did enjoy our appetizers and the sandwiches.

Fun beach dive bar. Very limited food menu but great service, drinks, and you are right on the beach. Had a great time with the bartenders and some of the locals and was able to grab a drink and sit on the beach and return as needed. Brian and Ryan do a great job keeping up with drinks and making everyone feel at home.

This place served it's purpose. I wanted a cold beer. That's about it. It's got a cool patio to chill on but the douchebag working the bar left much to be desired. I went in at like 2pm on Monday and there was one couple sitting at the bar. The bardude was way to involved in his conversation to even make eye contact with me or anything but again, that's ok. I got what I went in there for but I get the impression that this place isn't known for it's hospitality.

Brought a few of our friends here and it was near closing time but the bartender told us to stay so we did. Nearly two hours after closing time we headed on out. Loved having the place to ourselves. Bartender was very good to us. And yes we will be back again.

Escape the tourists and find this local slice of culture. Despite technically being a 'hotel bar' at Days Inn, you will learn not to judge a book by it's cover. It's a dive. But a fun dive. Live music often.
